Just finished an inspiring demonstration session with AECdaily as we look to forming an Architectural Woodwork Institute eLearning University. We have two constituencies to serve: 1) The External Audience of construction and design professionals needing continuing learning about the fine woodwork portions of their projects, and 2) The Internal Audience of members and suppliers who need and want business management skills, industry updates, and networking. Can we justify the $35K investment on AEC combined with the many $K investment in content development, staff management, and synergy between the two systems? Time to Six Hat the proposition and define the objectives, at least so far as we can see them.
